An IDC study of the financial impact of operational productivity
projects such as call center automation reveals that they
are becoming woven
into the fabric of corporate culture and garner between 51%
and 500% ROI.
When things are done right...and for the right reasons,
projects are successful and often have startling paybacks.
But not all implementations work wonders.
There are no "off-the-shelf" solutions. There
are too many variations in hardware and software configurations
out there, too many collections of interacting programs and
operating systems in modern organizations for a "shrink-wrapped" solution
to work successfully without at least some degree of planning,
analysis, installation and training being involved.
The IDC study shows that technology savings made up only
about 7% of the return while productivity and business process
enhancements made up 51% and 42% respectively, clear evidence
that it is the complex projects that deliver results...the
ones that require careful implementation.
Implementation has been one of our watch-words since we
began in this business and one of the prime reason why so
many of our clients have been with us a decade or longer.
There are no easy solutions. Only those that are successful
and those that fail. We focus on the processes and procedures
that improve the chances for success and work hard to avoid
